- Visual Modification: A particular ‘woman hand gesture’ was asked to be replaced.
- Dialogue Changes:
- The term ‘Haryanvi’ was replaced with ‘Ek Gang’.
- The name ‘Modi ji’ was substituted with ‘The Government’.
- The ‘sensual audio of a woman’ was reduced by 50% to tone down the intensity of a particular scene. As per sources, this modification was likely applied to a moment showcased in the trailer where Rakul Preet Singh’s character moans loudly as Arjun Kapoor’s character kisses her neck to make Bhumi Pednekar’s character jealous.

Following these adjustments, Mere Husband Ki Biwi received a UA 13+ certification. This rating system, introduced in November 2024, provides age-specific guidelines. Other recent films such as Sky Force also received a UA 13+ rating, while Chhaava, Deva, Loveyapa, and Badass Ravi Kumar were certified UA 16+.
Runtime and Release Details
The film’s censor certificate was officially handed over to its makers on February 17, 2025. According to the certificate, the total runtime of Mere Husband Ki Biwi is 143 minutes and 44 seconds (2 hours, 23 minutes, and 44 seconds).
